The name he changed to in 2017 by changing his name from Mike Towers, to Myke Towers. It was done in honor of Young Kingz music group of which he's a member. The initial i in the name was replaced with a y. Myke Towers, a Puerto Rican rap musician who has been within the rap scene since his time as an teen, released his initial freestyles and songs on the SoundCloud page. He became popular with his tracks Dia de cobro Por Mi Es Normal et En los Bloques. He gained notoriety due to the La Nueva Droga freestyle and rendition of Drake's song 0 To 100.
