Kelly Clarkson was an American musician and singer who became the America's sweetheart when she won American Idol in the first series. The victory not only propelled her into the limelight however, it also secured her a multi-album record deal with RCA Records 19 Recordings and S Records. Since her debut, she released numerous albums. Three of those albums made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The others were close to the top spot. She has been one of the most popular performers on American Idol. When she was successful, she tried out different genres and themes, frequently co-writing her songs in accordance to her own personal experiences. In recognition of her talent and distinctiveness, she's received lots of praise as well as awards. Her most notable achievement is the fact that she was awarded the Grammy Award three times. She also has been featured in television and films. In addition, she is the author of the novel for children called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and involved with many charities.
