Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on Jan. 19. 1946 into a very humble family of 12 children at one point, realized that she was able to escape suffering through her imaginative mind. Before learning how to read and write Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own songs. The first guitar she received was gifted by her mother when she was eight. She began singing in an Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. In the same year, she recorded her first record on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. Although she was studying, she already established herself within the local arena. However, her goal was to be able to perform at a much larger size. She relocated to Nashville shortly after her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart at the top of Monument Records. Around this time, Porter Wagoner was looking for an actress to sing for the show he had syndicated to television. Parton took the offer in 1967 and signed with RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. But she resigned from the show in 1974 when her solo albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it climbed to Number. The first time in 1974.
