Her name is most well-known as Kate Capshaw, an American actress who has since retired. She is famous for her role as Willie Scott, an American nightclub performer and singer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), directed by eventual husband Steven Spielberg. In the years since, she was a part in Dreamscape (1984), Power (1986), SpaceCamp (1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1995), and The Love Letter (1999). Capshaw her portraits have been featured in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw, was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth Texas. She is the daughter of Beverley Sue Simon (nee Simon), beauty therapist and travel agent as well as Edwin Leon Nail, an employee at the airline. [4] She was five years old when she relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw obtained a degree in education at the University of Missouri, where she was a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught special education at Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri, and Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri.
